Strong winds are expected today in southern Colorado, this as a storm pounds the mountains from the Continental Divide and points west. This system will allow winds to ramp up with gusts up to 60 mph on the Front Range though the afternoon. Some mountains will get up to a foot of snow, this snow will make for hazardous travel at mountain pass level. Sunday will be the in-between day with mostly sunny conditions and light winds. A new system will bring a chance for snow Monday night and into Tuesday.
Colorado Springs: High winds, mostly cloudy, winds 30-40 mph with higher gusts, high 48
Pueblo: Strong winds, mostly cloudy, winds 30-40 mph with higher gusts, high 53
Monument: Windy, mostly cloudy, snow shower possible, winds 25-35 mph, high 45
Teller County: Breezy, mostly cloudy, 20% chance of a snow shower, winds 20-30 mph, high 42
